St.Christopher’s Hostel, Barcelona

Carrer de Bergara, 3, L'Eixample, 08002 Barcelona, Spain

St Christophers Inns Barcelona is centrally located close to Plaza Catalunya with easy access to metro, bus and trains to the airport.

There is a Belushi’s bar located next to the hostel which provides lots of dining space for breakfast and beverages if so required, along with a mini outside terrace, perfect for Barcelona’s beautiful weather.

It is a great location and despite being in the City centre the location feels calm and not too chaotic.

Details and dorms

The location is so central and you can be in Placa de Catalunya within 5 minutes, it’s super close to Universitat area and Passeig de Gracia, although it is very central, the street it is on seems to be unusually quiet for central Barcelona.

It is next door to Belushi’s bar, which is spacious and modern, you’ll get a discount of 25% off food and drink if you’re staying at the hostel, a free drink if you book directly through the website and can use the space to work, drink, eat or hang out. If you choose to have breakfast at the hostel it’ll be located in the dining room of Belushi’s.

Inside the hostel is clean, spacious and the staff are very helpful.

Once you are allocated your room and floor, you can go and explore to see what artwork is waiting for you. Each floor has a different artwork reflecting Barcelona, unfortunately I wasn’t able to explore every floor, as your keycard doesn’t allow you to go beyond your floor but the artwork I saw was excellent.

It’s so brilliant to see local artwork and quirky features, it makes the experience more unique, interesting and incredibly memorable.

Price range - The lowest I have paid is approximately £14 (not including nightly local tax), which fluctuates depending on the season.

The rooms - There are a range of female, male, mixed dorm rooms with different amount of beds available in each room, along with some private rooms. Each room I have stayed in has been spacious enough, have lockers underneath the beds and space to hang my clothes plus there is the added bonus of a curtain.

The bathrooms - Clean and functional, along with a separate room for the showers.

Outside space - There is a small terrace in front of the hostel where you can have a snack or drink whilst people watching.

Age limit There isn’t one that I’m aware of.

Limit of stay One week

Atmosphere and amenities

Atmosphere - Downstairs you’ll find a comfy dining room and chill out space, which is also where the kitchen and laundry room are. The times I hung out in here I ended up chatting to lots of people. There are also walking tours, sangria nights and events to help guests connect which is a great way to meet others whilst there. The atmosphere is always calm in the living room and if you want more chaos there is Belushi’s.

Amenities Kitchen and lounge relaxing space downstairs, mini terrace between the bar and dining area and one at the front of the hostel, lockers and Belushi’s bar.
